world oral health day

Department of Public Health Dentistry is celebrating World Oral Health Day on 20’Th March 2019.

Most people suffer from various oral conditions throughout their lifetime. So, for raising global awareness on prevention & control of diseases, to promote good oral health every year World Oral Health Day (WOHD) is celebrated every year on 20th March. To mark the occasion. Department of Public Health Dentistry, School of Dental Sciences will be conducting a community preventive program from 18/03/2019 to 20/03/2019 following the WOHD 2019 theme
“Say Ahh: Act on Mouth Health”
It will be an effective program for those who are less likely to receive private dental care and are at high risk for oral diseases.

  • Promote prevention & early detection of oral diseases.
  • Raise awareness about the importance of good oral health & preventive oral health habits.

Apart from it the students who levy to work in product based companies, it will help them in their technical interviews.

SNSR Celebrating World Tuberculosis Day @ Rauni Village, Panchayatan

World Tuberculosis Day is celebrated every year by the people all across the world at international level on 24th of March. It is celebrated to raise the common public awareness about the epidemic disease of Tuberculosis as well as get their efforts in order to eradicate this disease.

Objective of Event:

  • To raise the awareness among the people regarding tuberculosis.
  • To enhance their knowledge regarding early detection Tuberculosis by identifying early sign and symptoms.
  • To promote the people for DOTS strategy who already had the Tuberculosis.

One-day Interactive workshop “MOOC: WHAT WHY AND HOW” on 30th March 2019 @ Block 3, Room No. 107-A

As you all know MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) hosted on SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active–Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) platform (SWAYAM.gov.in) provides enormous potential and opportunity for faculty, academic administrators in introducing MOOCs within CBCS for optimization and enhancement of resources meant for teaching, learning, infrastructure etc. MOOCs allow flexibility to register elective and basic courses and reduction of the workload of the teaching community. Overall, MOOCs have been designed to help the University to serve its students better. Course delivery offered under MOOC mode within SU could revolutionize the teaching and learning process.
To make faculty and academic administrators familiarize with MOOCs RTDC is taking an initiative to organize a 3 h One-day Interactive workshop on 30-03-2019 (Saturday). Professors B. S. Balaji (School of Biotechnology, JNU) and Dr. Sanjiv Kumar (School of Basic Sciences, IGNOU) both of whom have been giving MOOCs on SWAYAM platform have kindly consented to give the talks and interact with the participants.

School of Education (SOE), Sharda University is organizing special coaching classes for “CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test)”.

CTET ( Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is a test conducted by the CBSE to check eligibility of prospective teachers. The test is a national eligibility test applicable all across the country. The rationale for having this test is as under:

  1. It would bring national standards and benchmark of teacher quality in the recruitment process.
  2. It would induce teacher education institutions and students from these institutions to further improve their performance standards.
  3. It would send a positive signal to all stakeholders that the Government lays special emphasis on teacher quality.

Interested students may report to the HOD, School of Education.
