International Students’ Affairs & Linkages Cell (ISAL Cell) of School of Business Studies, Sharda University (SU), is having immense pleasure to share a proud moment that two of its students namely – Mr. Emran Sharifi (BBA, 2nd Semester, Syst ID-2018003995) and Ms. Era Poudel (BBA, 2nd Semester, Syst ID-2018013127 ) have recently joined University of Almeria (UAL), Spain under Sharda University’s Student Exchange Programme for a Semester (Sept 2019 – Feb 2020).

Mr. Sharifi and Ms. Poudel are the first students from Afghanistan and Nepal respectively to study at UAL. It is the first time in its history that the University of Almería welcomes students of these nationalities through the Erasmus program.

The general purpose of the Student Exchange Program is to promote international educational and cultural exchange to develop mutual understanding between the people of the different countries.

Objective of Event:

Following are the objectives of the Student Exchange Programme.

Educational

  • International learning and knowledge propel students towards acceptance and understanding of an array of different cultural and community perspectives.
  • Language acquisition is achieved through practical immersion.
  • Awareness and adoption of alternative, multi-faceted approaches to learning.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Enhanced interest in global issues as well as a broader general knowledge.

Personal

  • Self-development and awareness leading to enhanced self-confidence and self-esteem. This is often the most noticeable change in returned exchange students.

  • Integration into another family as well as the development of life-long friendships, fostering an appreciation of home and family.

You are eligible to donate blood if you are in good health, weight at least 50 kg and are 17 years or older.

The blood bank shall provide the following facilities:

To ensure that the requisite permission to hold such camp is available with the blood bank.

  • Donor card (valid for one year ) along with blood test report, if possible
  • Blood test report (within 15 days of the camp), if possible.
  • Certificates to the volunteers assisting in organising the camp

Department of Mathematics and Centre for Advanced Research in Applied Mathematics & Physics (CARAMP), SBSR, Sharda University is organizing an invited lecture on “Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems” by Prof. Ayub Khan (PVC, MAULANA AZAD NATIONAL URDU UNIVERSITY, Hyderabad). He has served 3 decades in teaching at Delhi University and 5 years in Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi as a professor.

Prof. Ayub Khan did his Ph. D. in the area of Chaos in Non-Linear Planar Oscillations of a Satellite in Elliptic Orbits from the University of Delhi in 1995. He is having more than36 years of teaching experience. He has published more than 180 research papers in national and international journals. He produced more than 30 PhD and completed many research projects.

Abstract:

An adaptive hybrid complex projective combination–combination synchronization method to synchronize the hyperchaotic (HC) complex Lorenz system and HC complex Lu system. The adaptive control laws and parameter update laws are derived from making the state of HC complex systems asymptotically stable by using Lyapunov stability theory. The coupled HC complex systems (master and slave systems) evolve in a distinct direction with a constant intersection phase angle.

Objective:

  • To create interest in advanced research and promote interdisciplinary and innovative research.

  • Prof. (Dr.) Roma Chatterji, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi
  • Dr. Roma Chatterji is a Professor and HOD at the Department of Sociology, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi. Apart from an abiding interest in the folk culture she has also researched and published widely on collective violence, slum communities and illness narratives. Her last book was Speaking with Pictures: Folk Art and the Narrative Imagination in India and her latest book, Graphic Narratives and the Mythological Imagination in India will be out later this year.

Objective of the Lecture:

  • She intends to speak about the ways in which sociology in India engaged with India’s modernity and with the social science disciplines that were already engaged in the study of India at the time that sociology was institutionalized in India.
  • She will include a discussion of some of her own research on folk art and on studying other societies.
