Guest Lecture on Health Policy in India: Evolving Role of the Private Sector
Mar 12 @ 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

School of Business Studies is organizing a Guest Lecture on Health Policy in India: Evolving Role of the Private Sector.

Private players in health have been a recent phenomenon with PPP model being one of the important policies to bring together the private and public sector in health. Bringing the private players in health can have both positive and negative consequences. In a country like India, characterized by high inequality access to health care services privatizing health without proper regulatory measures can have negative impact on access to health system. On the other hand with one of the lowest health expenditure in health, infrastructure are weak to tackle any emergency which are exposed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Bringing in private players can improve the health infrastructure.
