International Students’ Affairs & Linkages Cell (ISAL Cell) of School of Business Studies, Sharda University (SU), is having immense pleasure to share a proud moment that two of its students namely – Mr. Emran Sharifi (BBA, 2nd Semester, Syst ID-2018003995) and Ms. Era Poudel (BBA, 2nd Semester, Syst ID-2018013127 ) have recently joined University of Almeria (UAL), Spain under Sharda University’s Student Exchange Programme for a Semester (Sept 2019 – Feb 2020).

Mr. Sharifi and Ms. Poudel are the first students from Afghanistan and Nepal respectively to study at UAL. It is the first time in its history that the University of Almería welcomes students of these nationalities through the Erasmus program.

The general purpose of the Student Exchange Program is to promote international educational and cultural exchange to develop mutual understanding between the people of the different countries.

Objective of Event:

Following are the objectives of the Student Exchange Programme.

Educational

  • International learning and knowledge propel students towards acceptance and understanding of an array of different cultural and community perspectives.
  • Language acquisition is achieved through practical immersion.
  • Awareness and adoption of alternative, multi-faceted approaches to learning.

Seminar on Viral Hepatitis in Dentistry @ SMSR Auditorium

With an aim to spread awareness among dentists regarding the lurking danger of Hepatitis infection encountered  during patient interaction, diagnosis and treatment, the Department of Public Health Dentistry, School of Dental Sciences in collaboration with The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) under Project Prakash is organizing a one day Seminar titled “Viral Hepatitis in Dentistry” on 11th February 2020 (Tuesday)  from 08:15 AM- 5:30 PM at SMSR Auditorium.

Viral hepatitis has become a silent epidemic worldwide and is the major cause of liver cirrhosis and liver carcinoma. In a dental office, infections can be expedited through several routes, including direct or indirect contact with blood, oral fluids, droplet splatter, aerosols, etc. A dentist can play a major role in the prevention of hepatitis by considering each and every patient as a potential carrier of hepatitis. This seminar provides evidence-based and up-to date information on infection control, sterilization, and prophylactic vaccination protocols that should be followed by dental professionals in order to reduce the risk of hepatitis.

Objectives:

    • Management of  Patients with Liver Diseases
    • Viral Hepatitis in Dental Practice
    • Occupational Safety For Dentists

Details of the event:

A one day seminar titled “Viral Hepatitis in Dentistry” in which distinguished speakers have been called upon to educate and sensitize the registered delegates regarding viral hepatitis in their clinical practice. The event shall also consist of a pre-test and a post-test questionnaire through which the knowledge gained by the dentists shall be evaluated. BDS Third year, Fourth year, Interns , Postgraduate Students (MDS) and Faculty (BDS & MDS)  are allowed to register. Full day attendance is mandatory for the certificates.

Interviewing and advising are the most crucial and significant part of most lawyers’ work. Too often, it is assumed that lawyers have the listening and questioning skills needed to conduct an effective interview but these skills need to be honed at the Law school. The session provides an opportunity for valuable interaction and inputs to students from an experienced lawyer.

Objectives of the Workshop:

  • Session will also help students understand the first step of lawyering i.e. client counseling in a better manner.
  • To promote greater knowledge and interest among law students in the counseling functions of law practice.
  • To encourage students to develop interviewing, planning, and analytical skills in the lawyer-client relationship.

Yakult Danone India (P) Ltd is a 50:50 Joint Venture (JV) between Yakult Honsha, Japan and Group Danone of France, both of which are global probiotic leaders. The JV was formed in 2005 to manufacture and sell probiotic products in the Indian market. Yakult, a probiotic drink was launched in India in 2007. The factory is designed as per international standards and special care was taken while designing to maintain the highest level of hygiene standards and deliver the best quality product to its consumers. The process of making Yakult is completely automated and there is no human touch at any point of time.
