MDP Cell of School of Business Studies, Sharda University, is organizing a Management Development Programme (MDP), spread over a duration of six months, in the area of ‘Coaching for Performance‘  for the organization named ‘Prestige Ice Cream Pvt. Limited’, Kolkata, West Bengal (Brand Rollick, Fragola, Vida). This MDP will be conducted during December 2020 to  June 2021 (Twice a month, 3 days at a time).

Key stakeholders of the organization are trained on the competencies and behavior underlined for performance. They in turn become coach of their subordinates. The organization is intended to promote an effective way of learning and improve managerial performance through this action and performance oriented Management Development Programme initiative.

Visual Art & Digital and Communication, Department of Design, School of Architecture and Planning is organizing a Virtual Walk-Through to National Gallery of Modern Art with Mr. Argha Kamal Ganguly, Assistant Curator, NGMA, New Delhi on 14th January 2021 at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Objectives of Event:

In these trying times, it has been next to impossible to go and visit the art museums and galleries but it is equally important to be engaged in order to understand the very essence of art. Keeping this in mind, this Virtual walk-through a professional Art Curator will take the students on a ride of various personal collections of artworks done by marvels of Indian Art that are now in the collection of the National Gallery of Modern Art. This will inspire the students, and build their interest in  Art Appreciation.

Argha Kamal Ganguly is an Assistant Curator at the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi. A post-graduate in Fine Arts -Painting from the renowned Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, Argha is also an Art Practitioner and Art Educator. He keeps a keen interest in exploring other mediums and different fields of creative expression as well. Through his walk-throughs to the personal collection of NGMA, Delhi he engages viewers from different age groups in an interactive and interesting manner.

To strengthen the technical skills of the students, Department of CSE, School of Engineering & Technology (SET) has taken an initiative to train and prepare the student for GATE Examination on every Saturday’s(including non-working).

Through GATE students will get a chance in PSU’s as well as pursuing a higher degree from the renowned institution of India (IIT’s, NIT’s etc).

Apart from it the students who levy to work in product based companies, it will help them in their technical interviews.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing a crucial role in integrating major HR functions thereby overhauling the entire pedigree of employee experience. It is contributing to building talent processes to reduce employee turnover and manage key areas like performance management, workforce planning, people analytics, career-pathing and virtual assistance for self-service. This conclave will provide a platform to the stakeholders to deliberate on this burning issue.

Ms. Amrita Bagchi is an ardent Educationist who is dedicated towards Creating a Positive Learning Environment and Making a Difference in her Students’ lives. Her career spans over 22+ years pivoting around the core education domain and she has taught extensively both in India and in China for 15 years in a myriad Chinese university. She is a TESOL/TEFL Certified professional from the American TESOL Institute and also holds an M.Phil Degree in Education, stood 2nd position from the University of Calcutta. She joined Sharda University in Dec 2017 and has ever since dedicated her life towards augmenting the employability skills of her students. She has co-authored publications on Communicative English, Soft Skills, and Personality Development.
