International Students’ Affairs & Linkages Cell (ISAL Cell) of School of Business Studies, Sharda University (SU), is having immense pleasure to share a proud moment that two of its students namely – Mr. Emran Sharifi (BBA, 2nd Semester, Syst ID-2018003995) and Ms. Era Poudel (BBA, 2nd Semester, Syst ID-2018013127 ) have recently joined University of Almeria (UAL), Spain under Sharda University’s Student Exchange Programme for a Semester (Sept 2019 – Feb 2020).

Mr. Sharifi and Ms. Poudel are the first students from Afghanistan and Nepal respectively to study at UAL. It is the first time in its history that the University of Almería welcomes students of these nationalities through the Erasmus program.

The general purpose of the Student Exchange Program is to promote international educational and cultural exchange to develop mutual understanding between the people of the different countries.

Objective of Event:

Following are the objectives of the Student Exchange Programme.

Educational

  • International learning and knowledge propel students towards acceptance and understanding of an array of different cultural and community perspectives.
  • Language acquisition is achieved through practical immersion.
  • Awareness and adoption of alternative, multi-faceted approaches to learning.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Enhanced interest in global issues as well as a broader general knowledge.

Personal

  • Self-development and awareness leading to enhanced self-confidence and self-esteem. This is often the most noticeable change in returned exchange students.

  • Integration into another family as well as the development of life-long friendships, fostering an appreciation of home and family.

School of Business Studies, Sharda University in collaboration with NGO – ‘GOONJ’ is organizing a Collection Drive from October 10-31, 2019 for participating in ‘JOY OF GIVING WEEK’.

You can share the joy by contributing/giving away your old or discarded household materials such as old clothes, shoes, books, utensils, bed sheets or any other usable household article or any new item such as hygiene products, candles, lanterns, sanitary products.

Dil Ki Suno ..Kuch Karo!

Please make sure that the article/material contributed should be in such condition that it can be used by the people in need. It is also important to properly pack the materials in a bag and tag them. The items can be placed in the cartons kept in the area of Assistant Registrar office, SBS (Ground Floor) on the assigned days, during lunch time (12.25-1.20 PM) and then post classes.

Diwali is around the corner and most of us would be getting into the annual house-cleaning, just think before you throw that old stuff, it can be of use to someone in need!

The use of Excel is widespread in the industry. It is a very powerful data analysis tool and almost all big and small businesses use Excel in their day to day functioning. Keeping in mind this need of the hour, Career Counselling Centre, Sharda University is organising 3- Days Workshop on “Analysis of Data in Excel: Simple Tips and Techniques” on October 14-16, 2019. The Workshop is designed keeping in mind two kinds of learners – those who have very little functional knowledge of Excel and those who use Excel regularly and wish to enhance their skills.

Workshop objectives:

Workshop will focus on how to analyse data in Excel, and the various tricks, and techniques for using it.
Workshop is designed to give students a working knowledge of Excel with the aim of getting to use it for more advance topics in Business Statistics.
The workshop will take the students from basic operations such as reading data into excel using various data formats, organising and manipulating data, to various advanced functionality of Excel.

Our discussion will include, but not be limited to:

The principal reason behind launching and celebrating world food day is to secure and advance the food security across the world, particularly in days of the crisis. The commencement of the Food and Agriculture organization by the United Nations has played a significant role in making this possible and accomplishing the goal.
The annual celebration of world food day represent the significance of the Food and Agriculture Organization; it also helps in increasing awareness of the crucial need for effective agriculture and food policies to be implemented by governments across the world to ensure there is sufficient food available for everyone worldwide.
