Mr. Saad Hameed, a Post Graduate in Psychology, Marketing, HR & Business Administration, holding 18 years of Professional Experience, joined AMU as Training & Placement Officer in March 2012. His area of expertise lies in Soft Skills Training, Career Counseling, and Job Placements. Mr. Saad Hameed established the Training& Placement office, which was nonexistent in AMU Prior to 2012. ABOUT THE TOPIC:

India’s agriculture industry is in nascent stage making 17.5 percent of the country’s GDP and facing several challenges owing many reasons. In India, only 14 percent food products is processed and about 35 percent of the food is sold as packed food. This reflect, that there is huge potential in the agro-industry and agri-business sector, government is encouraging the youth to explore different opportunities in agri business sector like commercial farming, food processing sector, agricultural equipment manufacturing etc. The demand for skilled agribusiness professionals are also on rise. Organisations in all sectors i.e. public, private and cooperative are looking for competent and well trained professionals in agri business sector. This lecture will enlighten students about the career prospects in these sectors.
