MDP Cell of School of Business Studies, Sharda University, is organizing a Management Development Programme (MDP), spread over a duration of six months, in the area of ‘Coaching for Performance‘  for the organization named ‘Prestige Ice Cream Pvt. Limited’, Kolkata, West Bengal (Brand Rollick, Fragola, Vida). This MDP will be conducted during December 2020 to  June 2021 (Twice a month, 3 days at a time).

Key stakeholders of the organization are trained on the competencies and behavior underlined for performance. They in turn become coach of their subordinates. The organization is intended to promote an effective way of learning and improve managerial performance through this action and performance oriented Management Development Programme initiative.

The Department of Electrical Electronics and Communication Engineering is planning to conduct a One-Week Faculty Development Programme on the Topic – “Wireless Sensor Networks and IoT” from 18th January 2021 to 22nd January 2021.

Objectives of Event:

This FDP is intended to provide the opportunity for faculty employed in affiliated engineering colleges for teaching and upgrading their knowledge in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks and above mention technologies. The programme is intended to give the participants a focused view on the role played by Wireless Sensor Networks. The pedagogy includes lectures, discussions and hands on practice. Noida, India are jointly organizing a Webinar on Awareness of Trends in Technology under the memorial Lecture Series 2021 in the memory of Prof. A. H. Siddiqi on 20th January 2021.

Prof. Siddiqi (10th January 1943- 20th January 2020) was a renowned Indian Mathematician who made great and original contributions to many Mathematical fields like Wavelet Analysis, Fractals, Mathematical linguistics and Image processing etc. He was Professor (Emeritus) in the Department of Mathematics, School of Basic Sciences and Research, Sharda University. He established an interdisciplinary research centre “Centre for Advanced Research in Applied Mathematics & Physics (CARAMP) in collaboration with Inshaat Salman Al-Terais Contracting Co., KSA, a trust led by Dr. Nadeem Tarin by signing a MoU in June 2018.
He was associated with Sharda Group of Institutions (SGI) since 2007. During his association, He guided 8 Ph. D. students in Sharda University and published many research papers in Journals of repute. He also authored many books published by international publishers like Springer. He was Pro Vice- Chancellor and Acting Vice- Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh.

He was the Founding Director of IIT Hyderabad from June 2009 to June 2019. For nearly five years he served as the mentor Director for IIIT Chittoor, Sri City. He was also mentor Director for IIT Bhilai during its initial setting up phase. At present he is Prof. Emeritus at IIT Hyderabad. He is also Honorary Professor Woosong University, South Korea. Born with the gift of Intuition and Healing, Madhavi has helped her clients to regain good health, peace, and harmony in relationships, helped them find their life paths, resolved discord in families, and helped women dealing with abuse. The Andrei Stenin International Photo Contest established by Sputnik is an annual contest for young photojournalists aged between 18 and 33 years old. It is Russia’s only platform for discovering new photojournalists and for allowing them to make a name for themselves on the world photojournalism stage. In 2020 around 5000 entries from 75 countries were submitted. Since its start in 2014, the contest has been exhibiting around the world, including Moscow, Cape Town, Budapest, Madrid, New Delhi, San-Donato-Milanese, New York, Ankara, Buenos Aires, and other cities.
