School of Creative Art, Design and Media Studies, Department of Design is organizing “RETHINK FASHION 2019” Competition Vision- The competition provides education, inspiration & opportunity to emerging fashion designers of Sharda University about sustainable design theories and techniques in order to drive growth towards a circular fashion system. If you have what it takes to Rethink Fashion? The Jury is looking for emerging design talent for transformative ideas of Fashion for the sustainable needs of tomorrow.

Objectives of Event:
Competition Targets-
1. To prepare students for National & International Design competitions.
2. To give an opportunity to the students to work on emerging needs of the future.
3. To collectively begin work on the creation of Sharda Fashion Think Tank on Sustainable Fashion.

Resuming GATE Preparatory Classes by Dept of CSE – SET from 15 Sept 2018 (Every Saturday) @ Room Number -207 Block-I

To strengthen the technical skills of the students, Department of CSE, School of Engineering & Technology (SET) has taken an initiative to train and prepare the student for GATE Examination on every Saturday’s(including non-working).

Through GATE students will get a chance in PSU’s as well as pursuing a higher degree from the renowned institution of India (IIT’s, NIT’s etc).

Apart from it the students who levy to work in product based companies, it will help them in their technical interviews.

School of Education (SOE), Sharda University is organizing special coaching classes for “CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test)”.

CTET ( Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is a test conducted by the CBSE to check eligibility of prospective teachers. The test is a national eligibility test applicable all across the country. The rationale for having this test is as under:

  1. It would bring national standards and benchmark of teacher quality in the recruitment process.
  2. It would induce teacher education institutions and students from these institutions to further improve their performance standards.
  3. It would send a positive signal to all stakeholders that the Government lays special emphasis on teacher quality.

Department of Mass Communication, (SCADMS) is Organizing 5-days training Workshop on Mobile Journalism| January 7-11, 2019 @ Old VC Board Room, Block 2

Department of Mass Communication, School of Creative Art, Design and Media Studies (SACDMS) has organized 5-days training workshop for its faculty, staff and students in collaboration with Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany’s public international broadcasters till January 11, 2019.

The workshop hols 15 participants including 5 faculties, staff and 10 students of BA(J&MC) and MA(J&MC) final year.

The trainer of the workshop is Ms. Gwendolin Hilse. With a degree in International Media Studies, Ms. Gwendolin has worked for different media houses in Germany and Ghana. Since 2014 she worked for the Africa department of DW as reporter, editor, video, multimedia and radio journalist. She has produced a TV Magazine The 77 Percent – a multimedia African youth magazine which will be aired as TV magazine from March 2019. Ms. Hilse’s work was screened on the International Science Film Festival by Goethe Institute. She wrote her Master thesis on Mobile Journalism in Nigeria, comparing the work of the BBC Hausa Service with the work of a Nigerian TV station.

School of Architecture and Planning (SAP) is organizing a Hands on workshop for the students of Architecture under Related Study Program (RSP)– Delhi as a part of non teaching Credit courses. The students are being tutored by a foreign expertise, JASON GRIFFITHS, Associate Professor of Architecture, University of Nebraska – Lincoln, USA

Objective of Event:

The Hand on Workshop aims at creating an Urban Insert in form of an in-situ temporary shelter adjacent to the Sharda University campus (Near Gate 4). The structure is being prefabricated by the students in the workshop. The technique used is a modular method by lamination of waste wooden strips, curved to form and arch, a stable structural form.
