ABOUT THE TOPIC:
Osteopathy takes a holistic, drug-free, whole-body approach to take the health of a person to its optimum level, by integrating the musculoskeletal, visceral (organs) system, and craniosacral (nervous system) together.
Osteopaths use a highly developed sense of touch called palpation to assess the problem, diagnose, and treat. Osteopathic manipulative techniques (OMT) helps in improving circulation and correct altered biomechanics to improve the function of the body and prevent further injury or illness.
Osteopathy strives to provide the optimum conditions for health by working with the body’s own healing mechanisms. An osteopathic physician does not concentrate only on the problem area but uses manual techniques to balance all the body systems and to provide overall good health and wellbeing.

Dr. RichaDattaSrivastava is one of the pioneer Osteopaths of India. After graduating with an MBBS degree, her strong belief in the natural ways of treatment brought her interest in a revolutionary field of medicine known as Osteopathy. She had pursued Masters in Osteopathy from Sri University, Cuttack, Odisha in the year 2015-2017. She is the founder and director of Osteopathy Treat (www.osteopathytreat.com) under which she has served at different parts of North India namely Delhi, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Kota, Agra, Bhilwara, Karnal, Allahabad. The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is designed by NIESBUD to train and develop faculties in entrepreneurship development so that they can act as resource persons in guiding and motivating youth to take up entrepreneurship as a career. Through FDP, faculty members of educational institutions and Entrepreneurship Development Organizations are trained for a duration of 5 days.
FDP provide inputs on process and practice of entrepreneurship development, communication and inter-personal skills, creativity, problem solving, achievement motivation, resource mapping, support ecosystem and all aspects of entrepreneurship. Training methodology includes case studies, group discussion, simulation exercises, field visits and classroom lectures.
The programme aims at imparting to the faculties a thorough insight into the various aspects of enterprise creation, technical know-how, credit sources, marketing of products and changing trends of market in global scenario. The faculties will be able to understand the concepts of identification/ selection of projects and setting up of enterprise so as to run their business successfully. While the programme incorporates a thorough briefing on Government support systems, it also includes additional benefits of being an Entrepreneur.

A Member, NVEQF for Apparel Sector, AICTE (under MHRD).
During his tenure, NID has been awarded the best institute in Apparel Training from CMAI for four consecutive years (2005-08). He has been a keynote speaker at Retail Summit, Indo-American Textile Summit, Design Summit, and Guest of Honour in Symposium for Higher Education. He has patents like “Paunch Proof”, “I-Shops”, Fashion Clinics, and folding helmets. His work has been covered by TIME Magazine, Reuters, BBC, CNN, AajTak, USA Today, The Times, London, The Standard, Times of India, Hindustan Times, and other leading newspapers, television channels, and radios. He has been a consultant to leading companies across India and the world. His publications include “Clothing: From Custom to customization, 4’S of Fashion, Fashion Education-perception and realities-Innovations in Fashion and Creating Learning Ecosystem” and many more. His core areas include research & development in functional and intelligent clothing, managing retail experience, perceptual ergonomics, fashion engineering with a teaching specialization in design systems and processes, and innovative thinking. And the latest in CoVid-19 fight his innovative Cement suits that captured people’s imagination as the new solution.
4. Kumar Tushar Srivastava 30th October
Tushar brings the experience of more than a decade in a broad range of Intellectual Property subject matters and holds B. Tech in Computer Science, Master’s in Information Technology, and a Law degree. He is also a Bell Certified IP Professional and registered Patent Agent (India). He worked extensively in the area of IP and business strategy development and became a known face in the domain of build-up patent portfolio development and management. Tushar acts as an advisor for individual inventors, university researchers, incubation centers, worldwide companies, start-ups, and other institutions on IP, innovation, and related strategies for various jurisdictions such as India, the USA, China, Japan, and Korea. As a professional, worked in various facets such as academician and IP Attorney. He has been a phenomenal IP speaker in national and international workshops/ conferences, IIM Ahmedabad on patent acquisition/licensing, patent valuation, and IP challenges faced by startups. He is recipients of awards and recognitions for his achievement and contribution for out of box strategizing IP blueprint for academia, start-ups, and MNCs. He is an expert jury member for hackathons. Tushar as an IP Attorney, very instrumental in Patent Searching of 2000+ cases, drafting more than 500 patent applications (for India, USA, Europe, PCT/WIPO), catered more than 100 Designs, and closely worked with entrepreneurs, academicians, inhouse councils, incubation centers and R&D engineers of Fortune 500 companies.
Objectives of Event:
- The industry expert interaction aims to cover society-centred & Essentialism Teaching philosophies and work towards aligning students towards this urgent social need.
- The students will also learn the approach required to design sustainably, textiles & materials.
- Creative and Design thinking always trumps technical Knowledge or skills, as they say, there is no better knowledge than of experience, thus, in this virtual interaction will focus on how college students can focus on Academics, and Research for the overall and holistic development of their skills, to achieve better opportunities in the industry.

- Design, Art, and craft goes hand in hand, which increases the need of skilled, Researched, and talented, Designers.
