Dec 3 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development asserts a strong narrative towards achieving gender equality. It acknowledges gender equality as a guiding principle linked to the realization of the right to education stating that women and girls should be equally empowered in and through education. As a step towards creating a gender sensitive society, School of Education (SOE) Sharda University in collaboration with Ajim Premji University, Bengaluru is planning to conduct a webinar on Gender Equality entitled “I have the right to be submissive!” for the students on 3rd December 2020 (Thursday).

Most people think women’s right of freedom to be submissive should be respected. Society and the law should protect this right. They are mistaken. and this thinking is a misapplication of the positive notion of freedom. This way of thinking has significant implications on the right to equality for all genders, men included.

Objectives of the event:

  • To create awareness and deep understanding about the various aspects of gender in our society
  • To realize the true meaning of gender equality and the agency of the individual

Webinar on the Theme: “Transforming global Nursing perspectives through innovation and Research”
Dec 7 – Dec 11 all-day

Webinar on the Theme: “Transforming global Nursing perspectives through innovation and Research” on 7th to 11thDec 2020.

About the webinar:

Globalization is one of the most important driving forces in the new millennium. Together with urbanization and digitalization, it reshapes patterns of human existence and societies on a global scale. Although nursing to some extent has been a global profession, the expansion to global awareness clearly develops the patterns in nursing knowledge. However, there have been few attempts to grasp and overview the consequences of globalization as it is addressed in scholarly knowledge. Researchers stress that nursing in the 21st century has many challenges due to the globalized world. Furthermore, this global approach in nursing has been reported to correspond to the challenges of human vulnerability and equality. In addition, the strengthening of the nursing discipline stands out, both in a local and Global Nursing scene.

The nursing profession is changing and has gone through several modifications during the last decades. For that reason, nurses, individually and collectively, have the power and the social consciousness to influence basic social services and health care. Thus, nurses should conceive a broader global picture. As global competencies must be mastered, nurses should held long term values, faculty knowledge, nursing policies, nursing education, and research and innovation.

School of Education, Sharda University is conducting a Five-Day online FDP on ‘Designing and Process of Writing Research Papers in High Quality Scopus Indexed International Journals.’ @ School of Education,
Dec 7 @ 11:00 am – Dec 11 @ 3:00 pm

School of Education, Sharda University is conducting a Five-Day online FDP on ‘Designing and Process of Writing Research Papers in High Quality Scopus Indexed International Journals.’ on 7th – 11th December 2020.

Writing a research paper may appear daunting and remain unfinished for months. The task of writing is not as stressful as it seems. This workshop on research paper writing will make the entire process of writing an interesting and a rewarding experience. This workshop will help you to communicate your ideas in an organized manner acceptable by the academic fraternity.
A great deal of value is involved to publish a high-quality research paper. Besides PhD, small scale research projects can be taken up to produce scientific research papers. Ph.D. research scholars are required to publish minimum of 2 research papers in refereed journals before the submission of the thesis. Some of the UG/PG students are also interested in publishing the papers to get the financial assistance for doing masters/Ph.D. in foreign countries. A substantive research effort is involved in writing a research paper by a large number of researchers and by industry experts. However, several researchers do not know how to write a research paper with the result that a large number of papers are being rejected by the peer reviewed quality journals. Writing a research paper is an art as well as a sophisticated knowledge-based skill. Very few among the academia understand the finer nuances involved in writing a research paper which is publishable in a high-quality refereed journal. This workshop is expected to fill up this gap to some extent.
