International Students’ Affairs & Linkages Cell (ISAL Cell) of School of Business Studies, Sharda University (SU), is having immense pleasure to share a proud moment that two of its students namely – Mr. Emran Sharifi (BBA, 2nd Semester, Syst ID-2018003995) and Ms. Era Poudel (BBA, 2nd Semester, Syst ID-2018013127 ) have recently joined University of Almeria (UAL), Spain under Sharda University’s Student Exchange Programme for a Semester (Sept 2019 – Feb 2020).

Mr. Sharifi and Ms. Poudel are the first students from Afghanistan and Nepal respectively to study at UAL. It is the first time in its history that the University of Almería welcomes students of these nationalities through the Erasmus program.

The general purpose of the Student Exchange Program is to promote international educational and cultural exchange to develop mutual understanding between the people of the different countries.

Objective of Event:

Following are the objectives of the Student Exchange Programme.

Educational

  • International learning and knowledge propel students towards acceptance and understanding of an array of different cultural and community perspectives.
  • Language acquisition is achieved through practical immersion.
  • Awareness and adoption of alternative, multi-faceted approaches to learning.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Enhanced interest in global issues as well as a broader general knowledge.

Personal

  • Self-development and awareness leading to enhanced self-confidence and self-esteem. This is often the most noticeable change in returned exchange students.

About Event:

To celebrate 10 years of Design X Design Alliance Française de Delhi & iF presents the 10th Annual Exhibition 2020.

Design in its many manifestations forms an integral part of every culture. Civilizations evolve and attain their full potential because of it. Design based creative communities in India are witness to a fascinating churning, necessitating a search for a vision that may inform their evolution beyond – spanning education, profession and the industry. Thus, involving exposes, round tables, exhibitions, etc. Design X Design is a step in that direction.

The energy behind the design of a pin or a city being the same, this joint initiative of Alliance Francaise de Delhi and Studio IF is also geared towards raising levels of appreciation within and nurturing connections across various creative communities– architecture, urban/ landscape/ interior design, product/ industrial design, textile/ fashion design, graphic/ communication design etc. Local and global in outlook, it is directed at the initiated and the uninitiated alike.

About Design X Design Exhibition: 20under35

The exhibition component of Design X Design involves showcasing the work of designers from Delhi and other cities of India, to facilitate the reading of prevailing trends across various design based creative industries. Never easy to comprehend, the design story of a culture at any given moment is perhaps best understood by looking at young design practices. Therefore, Design X Design Exhibition: 20under35 by sharing the philosophies, working methods and future aspirations of the twenty shortlisted designers under the age of thirty five aims to raise levels of appreciation, foster cross connections and inform the journeys ahead.

The Closing Walk

About the Closing Walk

The Closing Walk is a part of the Design x Design 20under35 tradition. It involves a guided tour through the Gallery by the participating designers, prior to the closing of the show. During the Walk, the Designers, one by one, summarize the nature of their respective practices and the articulation of the same through their exhibits/ installations.

Objectives of Event:

  • The exhibition component of Design X Design involves showcasing the work of designers from Delhi and other cities of India, to facilitate the reading of prevailing trends across various design based creative industries.
  • The best part is of its being interdisciplinary and displaying young national designers’ work.

Department of Economics & International Business, School of Business Studies, Sharda University is organizing an Industrial Visit to Yakult Danone India (P) Ltd., Sonipat, Haryana, on 31st January 2020.

Yakult Danone India (P) Ltd is a 50:50 Joint Venture (JV) between Yakult Honsha, Japan and Groupe Danone of France, both of which are global probiotic leaders. The JV was formed in 2005 to manufacture and sell probiotic products in the Indian market. Yakult, a probiotic drink was launched in India in 2007. The factory is designed as per international standards and special care was taken while designing to maintain the highest level of hygiene standards and deliver the best quality product to its consumers. The process of making Yakult is completely automated and there is no human touch at any point of time.
