Resuming GATE Preparatory Classes by Dept of CSE – SET from 15 Sept 2018 (Every Saturday) @ Room Number -207 Block-I

To strengthen the technical skills of the students, Department of CSE, School of Engineering & Technology (SET) has taken an initiative to train and prepare the student for GATE Examination on every Saturday’s(including non-working).

Through GATE students will get a chance in PSU’s as well as pursuing a higher degree from the renowned institution of India (IIT’s, NIT’s etc).

Apart from it the students who levy to work in product based companies, it will help them in their technical interviews.

  • Involves 1 Lakh+ technical students, 3000+ technical institutions, 200+ organizations from across India.
  • World’s biggest Hardware hackathon.
  • 3rd edition of highly successful Smart India Hackathon initiative.
  • Technology Students across India compete to creatively solve problems and offer technical solutions.
  • Harness expertise of students from IISc, IITs, NITs and AICTE/UGC approved institutions

School of Humanities and Social Sciences is organizing one week Faculty Development Program on “Fostering Human Values & Professional Ethics from 15th July to 20th July 2019. @ SHSS, Sharda University

This FDP is designed to help develop a conducive environment for ‘Human Values and Professional Ethics’ in the institution, as well as in the community. It is for the purpose of familiarizing participants with Human Values and Professional Ethics and to generate interest in value-based living on the need and significance of universal human values and its implications in professional education for ensuring sustainable development of business and society will be emphasized. The religious and cultural heritage of India is rich in content and subjects of professional ethics and human values. Discourses of Vedas, Puranas, Ramayana and Mahabharata are value based. There seems some erosion in human values. This erosion is posing some challenges before the new generation. It is the duty of academicians to put forward a road map for the betterment of the people through value-based education. This workshop will provide a useful platform for the academicians and teachers to discuss issues directly related to human welfare and nation-building.

Objective of Event:

Human Value & Professional Ethics education facilitates human conduct and the development of humane society. The objective of this FDP is to understand ones purposefulness or goal, both as an individual, as well as a society. This Faculty Development Program would facilitate faculty members to develop right understanding, commitment, competence and practice of living with definite Human conduct and to participate in the development of a humane society.

Sharda University, School of Law is organising a six day Faculty Development Programme from 15th July- 20th July, 2019 on ‘Innovative Teaching Learning Methods and Research in Law’.

This Program shall cater to some of the best minds of legal profession including academicians, judges and other legal luminaries. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for distinguished scholars/ researchers/teachers in India to engage with the young faculty members and share their experiences and perspectives relating to teaching and research. The Expert speakers will discuss intricacies of law teaching and research, while identifying the gaps and suggesting reforms.

Aims and objectives:

  1. To provide understanding about innovative teaching learning methods.
  2. To acquaint faculty with intricacies of law and legal research.
  3. To train and develop law faculty and to upgrade their knowledge and skills which will enable them to prepare syllabus and course module.
  4. To provide in depth understanding about teaching pedagogy.
  5. To enhance overall teaching and research capabilities of faculty members.

Proposed Sub themes:

  1. Introduction to Research (Literature review, identification of research gaps, setting of objectives & Hypotheses).
  2. Upcoming areas in Legal Research and Research Methodology.
  3. Research Methodology in Law.
  4. Inter Disciplinary Research in Law.
  5. Quantitative Methods in Legal Research.
  6. Qualitative Method in Legal Research.
  7. How to Develop Outcome Based Curriculum.
  8. Experiential, Collaborative Teaching Learning Techniques in Law.
  9. Statistical Tests and Data Analysis in SPSS.
  10. Case Method of Teaching.

Proposed Outcomes:

  1. The faculty members will be able to explore innovative methods of teaching and learning.
  2. The faculty members will be able to identify upcoming research areas across various specializations and fields of research.
  3. The faculty members will be able to come out with quality research work that can be published in reputed journals at national and international level with the guidance of experts.
  4. The knowledge acquired from experts will be percolated to the students and ultimately benefit them.

School of Education (SOE), Sharda University is organizing special coaching classes for “CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test)”.

CTET ( Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is a test conducted by the CBSE to check eligibility of prospective teachers. The test is a national eligibility test applicable all across the country. The rationale for having this test is as under:

  1. It would bring national standards and benchmark of teacher quality in the recruitment process.
  2. It would induce teacher education institutions and students from these institutions to further improve their performance standards.
  3. It would send a positive signal to all stakeholders that the Government lays special emphasis on teacher quality.
