This is our immense pleasure to inform you that School of Basic Sciences and Research, Sharda University in association with Indian Association of Nuclear Chemists and Allied Scientists (IANCAS), BARC, Mumbai is organizing DAE BRNS-IANCAS National Workshop “Radiochemistry and Applications of Radioisotopes” on February 04-08, 2019.

About the workshop

The Indian Association of Nuclear Chemists and Allied Scientists (IANCAS) was founded in 1981 with an objective to popularize the beneficial aspects of nuclear energy and applications of radioisotopes in science, technology, agriculture and health-care among the academic community. This workshop, as a part of DAE-BRNS sponsored activity, will provide a forum for mutual interaction amongst faculty members, scientist and M.Sc. scholars from various educational institutions and research organizations. Eminent scientist and specialized in topics related to nuclear chemistry, nuclear physics, nuclear reactor, production and application of radioisotopes, nuclear analytical techniques and health and safety aspects will be the resource persons of the workshop. The lectures will be supplemented by laboratory experiments for the benefits of the participants.  In addition, special session will also be held on research funding opportunities in basic and nuclear sciences for the benefit of participants associated with teaching and research

About the Event:

This event will focus on literature, culture, society, music, traditions, history and art and include lectures and panel discussions by some of the country’s most celebrated and respected scholars, intellectuals, journalists, authors, performers, artists and members of parliament. The event shall be inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Ram Nath Kovind, President of India. Presided over by Hon’ble Shri Ranjan Gogoi, Chief Justice of India in the presence of Hon’ble Judges of the Supreme Court of India.

Objective of the event:

  • To give the students deep knowledge of keys to Justice.
  • To give students a better understanding of the dynamic nature of the Indian Legal System of India.
  • This visit shall boost the confidence of the students as they are getting the opportunity to listen to the top authorities of India.

Expected Outcomes:

International Students’ Affairs & Linkages Cell (ISAL), SBS, Sharda University organised an Invited Talk by Professor Martina Rašticová, Vice Dean for Internationalization, Faculty of Business and Economics, Mendel University, Czech Republic on “Leadership and Age Management in Central Europe” on Friday, February 8, 2019, Friday from 10:30- 11.30 am in the school auditorium. The Talk was attended by over 80 students of the Masters and Bachelors Programme of School of Business Studies, as well as, the faculty. Later, Dr. Martina also interacted with the Vice Chancellor-Prof G. R. C. Reddy, Director International Division – Mr. Ashok Daryani and the SBS team to establish academic collaboration in the areas of research and learning. The program convener was Dr.Parul Saxena, Head, Department of HR & OB, and the event was coordinated by Prof. Gaurav Gupta and Prof. Roopali Fulzele.

Biostatistics is the branch of statistics responsible for interpreting the scientific data that is generated in the health sciences, including the public health sphere. In essence, the goal of Biostatistics is to disentangle the data received and make valid inferences that can be used to solve problems in public health. Biostatistics uses the application of statistical methods to conduct research in the areas of biology, public health, and medicine.
