School of Humanities & Social Sciences is organising a International Conference on Power, (In)Equality and Cultures of Resistance: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Humanities and Social Sciences @ online
Jan 28 @ 10:00 am – Jan 29 @ 4:00 pm

Inequality and the Culture of resistance are complementary to each other, as inequality creates the space for resistance. Foucault suggests that where there is power, there is resistance; power affirms that there exist resistance and vice versa (Foucault, 1978). This Conference thus springs from the necessity for theorizing and contextualizing resistance across local, regional, national, or transnational spaces. It will engage scholars and academicians for two days to critically look into various forms of resistance and to examine the instantaneous association with inequality, violence, and domination.
