The Department of English, School of Humanities and Social Sciences is organizing a day long Trip for their M.A English Students “A Walk In the History” A trip to Rashtrapati Bhavan Heritage Museum and Moughal Garden on 15th of February, 2019 (Friday). The students would also attend a talk on “Independence Struggle & Reflection of Colonial Art in Rashtrapati Bhavan” conducted by Heritage Museum Authorities.
Objective of Event:
To initiate the students practically into the knowledge and understanding of our Colonial Past and the Consequent freedom struggle, a walk in the history would take them through Pre-Independence Era, Independence Movements and the Presidents of all the years gone by till the present These Experiences would certainly help them to understand the aesthetics of Partition literature, Postcolonial Studies which form a vital part of their academics.
