Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, School of Basic Sciences & Research (SBS&R) is going to organize a ‘Hands-on training on ChemSketch & Origin Software” for final year students of B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Chemistry and Biochemistry) on 15th Jan 2019.
About the event
The drawing of chemical formulae/reaction schemes and presenting the experimental results is a repetitive task for chemists on all levels of their education. While hand-sketching and plotting is most efficiently used during discussions and learning, neat drawings and clear graphical representations are required for official reports, publications, and theses. Such drawings and plots can be created with computer software like ChemSketch and Origin respectively.
In this event students will be given training on both of these software through the following modules:
Module 1 – How to draw the Chemical structures/reaction schemes using “ChemSketch”
Module 2 – How to plot/compare the graphs from a large experimental data using “Origin”
