Overview
Sharda School of Law is organizing a seminar on “A Practical Approach to Research Project Writing for Students”. It is a faculty-oriented seminar aimed at strengthening faculty members’ capacity to guide and mentor students in undertaking quality research projects. The session will focus on the practical challenges involved in research project writing and provide faculty members with a structured approach to supervising students at different stages of the research process. It will cover areas such as identification of research problems, formulation of research questions and objectives, literature review, research design and methodology, data collection and analysis, interpretation of findings, academic writing, referencing, plagiarism, and effective presentation of research outcomes. The seminar seeks to promote a consistent, systematic, and outcome-oriented approach to research project supervision across the School.
Objectives of Event
- Strengthen faculty members’ research supervision skills for effectively mentoring students in project work and provide a practical framework for guiding students from research topic selection to final project submission.
- Enhance faculty understanding of effective research problem formulation, research questions, objectives, and hypotheses.
- Share best practices in guiding literature reviews, research methodology, data collection, and analysis appropriate to student research projects.
- Promote quality and consistency in research project writing, structure, documentation, and presentation.
- Create awareness about academic integrity, plagiarism, ethical research practices, and appropriate citation and referencing.
