Overview

Guru Dakshata is a comprehensive faculty orientation framework to train newly appointed teachers in Sharda University.

Objectives of Event

 

·         Understand work culture and practices of the university: Sensitize about the work culture, rules, regulations, etc.

·         Adopt Modern Pedagogies: Sensitize faculty to use learner-centered teaching methods and integrated information and communication technology (ICT).

·         Implement Curriculum Reforms: Align course design with multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and applied approaches to knowledge, including outcome-based education.

·         Improve Assessment Tools: Promote scientific, flexible evaluation processes to test diverse student skills and competencies.

·         Support Faculty Development: Foster personal (interpersonal and career skills), instructional (course design and technology), organizational (supportive environment), and professional growth (balancing teaching, research, and service).

·      Inculcate Values and Ethics:Integrate academic integrity, professional ethics, constitutional values, and environmental consciousness into teaching
