Overview
The study is being conducted under the Community Connect initiative by Sharda University to profile socio-economically vulnerable communities and map their health and socio-economic standing. Targeted at Economically Weaker Section (EWS) households with an annual income of INR 8 lakh or less, this survey aims to benchmark local data against national flagship reports (such as NFHS), assess community awareness regarding communicable and non-communicable diseases, and identify policy gaps to foster better preventive and curative healthcare practices. The survey covers eight structured sections—ranging from respondent demographics, household living conditions, and disease incidence/awareness, to NFHS key health indicators and accessibility barriers surrounding government health schemes.
Objectives of Event
- To evaluate awareness levels among EWS households regarding the identification of symptoms and preventive practices for both communicable and non-communicable diseases.
- To benchmark community data against flagship health reports and map policy-level gaps to promote the adoption of preventive and curative healthcare schemes.
