Sharda School of Allied Health Sciences, Sharda University, is organizing “World Physiotherapy Day 2026” “Moving Hearts, Saving Lives: The Role of Physiotherapy in Cardiovascular, Cerebrovascular Health and Rehabilitation”” on 8th September 2026.
About the Event
The event will provide an engaging academic and community-awareness platform for BPT and MPT students to enhance their understanding of the role of physiotherapy in cardiovascular health and stroke prevention, management, and rehabilitation. Students will actively participate in Nukkad Natak, scientific poster-making competition, interactive discussions, demonstrations, quizzes, and a health awareness camp, fostering clinical knowledge, creativity, communication skills, teamwork, and professional competence while promoting awareness of physical activity, healthy lifestyle practices, cardiovascular health, stroke prevention, and the importance of timely physiotherapy intervention.
Objectives of Event
· To enhance awareness among BPT and MPT students regarding the role of physiotherapy and physical activity in cardiovascular health and stroke prevention and rehabilitation.
· To develop students’ clinical and professional knowledge through interactive, evidence-based educational activities.
· To promote creativity and communication skills through Nukkad Natak, Scientific poster-making, Quizzes, and Interactive sessions.
· To encourage community engagement by involving students in a health awareness camp focused on cardiovascular health, physical activity, and stroke prevention.
· To foster professional responsibility and teamwork among students while highlighting the contribution of physiotherapists in improving functional independence and quality of life.
