Overview

Nursing education is rapidly evolving with the increasing use of digital technology, online learning platforms, electronic databases, virtual simulations, digital libraries, e-books, online journals, educational videos and other e-resources. The modern nursing classroom is no longer restricted to textbooks and conventional lectures; students can now access updated and diverse learning resources anytime and from anywhere.

The seminar “Future Classroom: Integrating E-Resources in Nursing Education” aims to explore how digital resources can be meaningfully incorporated into teaching and learning to make nursing education more interactive, accessible, evidence-based and learner-centered. The seminar will provide nursing educators with practical insights into selecting, accessing and effectively using e-resources while maintaining academic quality and promoting critical thinking and lifelong learning.

Objectives of Event

By the end of the seminar, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the changing role of digital technology and e-resources in contemporary nursing education.
  • Explore effective ways of integrating e-resources into classroom teaching, clinical teaching and student self-directed learning.
  • Develop skills in searching, evaluating and selecting reliable and evidence-based digital learning resources.
  • Discuss the role of digital tools in promoting active learning, student engagement, critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
  • Recognize challenges related to digital learning, including information overload, reliability of online content, digital literacy, accessibility and responsible use of technology.
  • Encourage nursing educators to adopt innovative and practical technology-supported teaching strategies in their classrooms.
