Overview
The Sharda School of Design (SSD), Sharda University is organizing a Case Study Visit for the Urban Design Studio for fourth-year B.Arch. students on 13th August 2026 in Delhi. The visit is designed to provide students with practical exposure to urban design principles by observing and documenting real-life urban spaces, built environments, and site characteristics. Students will undertake field observations, case study documentation, exercises to understand the relationship between planning concepts and their implementation in the urban context.The visit aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional practice through experiential learning.
Objectives of Event
This event has following objectives: -
- To develop students' ability to observe, analyze, and document urban environments systematically.
- To familiarize students with the practical aspects of urban design, site planning, and spatial organization.
- To enhance understanding of the relationship between physical infrastructure, land use, circulation, and public spaces.
- To encourage critical thinking by evaluating real-world urban design interventions and identifying opportunities for improvement.
