Overview

The literary club- Inkspire, Sharda University, under the aegis of Dean Students’ Welfare, is organising University-Level Speech Competition as per the proposed guidelines by the Uttar Pradesh State Council for Higher Education.

 

Event Guidelines-

 

  • The competition will be based on the theme “विकसित भारत की संकल्पना” and will be conducted to select the university’s representatives for the State-Level Speech Competition to be held in Lucknow.

  • The participants securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions at the university level will get the opportunity to represent the university at the state-level competition.

  • The winners will get medals and certificates.

  • The state-level competition will be held on 7 October 2026, with reporting at 9:00 AM at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow.

  • Food and lodging will be provided free of cost for the selected participants during the state-level competition.



Rules & Regulations – Speech Competition

 

1. The competition will be conducted as an individual speech competition.

2. The topic for the speech is “विकसित भारत की संकल्पना”.

3. The speech must be delivered strictly in Hindi only.

4. Each participant will be given a maximum of 5 minutes to deliver their speech.

5. Participants must speak only on the given topic and ensure that their content is relevant to the theme.

6. No reference material, written notes, papers, or other supporting material will be permitted during the speech.

7. Participants are expected to maintain proper discipline, decorum and respectful conduct throughout the competition.

8. The use of foul, offensive, disrespectful or inappropriate language will not be permitted.

9. Participants must strictly adhere to the prescribed time limit. Going beyond the allotted time may affect the evaluation.

10. Participants are expected to present their speech in a clear, confident and appropriate manner.

11. The decision of the judges will be final and binding.

Objectives of Event

  • To provide students with a platform to express their ideas, perspectives and vision on the theme “विकसित भारत की संकल्पना” through effective public speaking.

  • To develop and enhance students’ oratory, communication and presentation skills in Hindi.

  • To encourage students to understand and articulate the vision, opportunities and challenges associated with a developed India.
