Overview

Dear All,

Sharda School of Law, Sharda University, is organising an enriching Community Connect Visit on “Know, Protect & Speak Up” – POCSO & Child Safety Awareness with Pre- & Post-Assessment at Diamond Public School, Kasna, Greater Noida, on 7th October 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts towards community engagement, child safety, and social responsibility. Students of the Community Connect programme will actively engage with school children through an awareness session on Good Touch and Bad Touch, with particular emphasis on personal safety, bodily autonomy, recognising inappropriate behaviour, and knowing when and how to seek help.

As part of the activity, students will also conduct pre-assessment and post-assessment exercises to assess the level of awareness among the children before and after the session. The responses will help students understand the effectiveness of the awareness programme and support the empirical component of their Community Connect research.

Objectives of Event

  1. To create awareness among children about Good Touch and Bad Touch, enabling them to distinguish between safe, unsafe, and inappropriate forms of physical contact.
  2. To promote child safety and personal protection by educating children about bodily autonomy, personal boundaries, and the importance of speaking up when they feel unsafe.
  3. To assess the existing level of awareness among children through a structured pre-assessment conducted before the awareness session and identify areas requiring greater attention.
  4. To evaluate the effectiveness of the awareness session through a post-assessment and analyse the change in children's understanding and awareness regarding personal safety and protection.
